This is Garnish Island, I don't have a picture of Roancarrig lighthouse so we will move on to Whiddy Island. Whiddy Island has an oil terminal on it and in 1979 the 8th of January there was an explosion when one of the boats the Betelgeuse exploded as it was loading off the oil 50 men were killed (42 French, 7 Irish and 1 English). In more recent times the bay has been used to farm mussels.
Garnish Island is situated in Glengarrif Bay and its a Island of gardens the most popular is the Italian Garden.
