"And is this your lovely wife?" "Proctor!" "Yes sir?" "What's the story here with Fu Manchu here?" "Fu Manchu? Oh, I don't have a Fu Manchu." Hosted by www.Geocities.ws

The Governor of the state has announced funding cuts to the police service, and the sad fact is is that one of the state's two police academies must be closed down!

To save his academy from destruction, Commendant Lessard (George Gaynes) must call in the wacky bunch of misfits we know and love: practical jokester Mahoney (Steve Guttenberg); gun nut Tackleberry (the late David Graf); no voice Hooks (Marion Ramsey); sound effects wiz Jones (Michael Winslow); tall Hightower (Bubba Smith) and curvacious Callahan (Leslie Easterbrook).

together, they all join forces to help train new cadets and make sure that their academy is better than the one run by Commendant Mouser. Mauser, who along with his three-bricks-short-of-a-full-load sidekick Lt. Proctor, will stop at nothing to sabbatoge Lessard's academy to make sure his academy is the one that stay's open!

Personal Comments

Police Academy 3's plot is just a regurgitated copy of Police Academy, but it is funny none-the-less. I prefer other academy's to this one, but it does have it's moments, like anything that happens to Mauser and Proctor. Classic.

The Police Academy movies get worse and worse up untill Police Academy 6: City Under Siege, which is decent, and then Mission To Moscow is just horrible. Police Academy 3 is a not a terrible movie, but it is bad. It is funny, though, and that is the main point.

Plot:
A recycled plot with a twist. Nothing special.

Visual Effects:
What special effects?

Sound:
What score? What music? The rating does get a boost from the classic "Police Academy" theme, however.

Character Development:
Character development? Where?

Atmosphere:
If you like Police Academy, or Police Academy 2, you'll like this one. But, you should have seen the earlier ones to get a feel for this one.

Realism:
It's a totally hollywoodized movie. It's funny, yes, but that's all.

Warren's Rating:
