Team Information
Our team is made of five individuals:
Bethany Hall, Tim Natale, Tim Rogers, Leah Shy, and Cass Tallon.
Leah, Tim R., Cass, and Tim N. are alumni of Pepperdine
University. Bethany will graduate in the spring of 2002.
We have all spent time in Osaka, Japan. Leah, Cass, Bethany, and
Tim N. have over three months of experience through the Let's Start
Talking ministry.
We feel that there is no better time to
dedicate our lives to the Lord through actively sharing the Good
News. We feel called to Osaka, Japan to join missionaries Chad
and Jennifer Huddleston and Scott and Jackie Mersch.
Osaka, Japan
Osaka, Japan is the second largest region in
Japan with just over 16 million people. Less than one percent of
the population are Christians.
Over the last three years, missionaries Chad
and Jennifer Huddleston have begun planting the see. Through
their work and through the work of Let's Start Talking, there are too
many people interested in hearing the Word. Because of these
reasons and because of the love Christ has given us for the Japanese,
we feel that it is our responsibility to join the work in Osaka.
The Plan
We are going to spend at least two years
working in Japan. We will focus our ministry on young
professionals, allowing the current missionaries a chance to breathe
and focus on married couples.
We will do this through both group and
individual Bible study, as well as regular social activities.
Team Training
Over the last year, ,our team has been
training with missions professor, Dan Rodriguez. This time, and
countless others, have been spent in prayer learning about ourselves,
the team, and Japan and preparing us for the immeasurable task at
hand. We feel we have done what we can in the last year, taking
retreats, personality tests, and leadership tests.
