The Cold of Lost Heart
-6/21/00
Baffled and bewildered,
He seeks his purpose and soul.
Crushed into submission,
He ignores what troubles come.
Like a cornered raccoon,
He will fight to the death
As the world rolls him over.
But like a newborn child
He cannot care for himself.
He banished himself
To a life of misery,
Of twisted realities
And insufficient truths.
The heart he once had
Has flown, never to return.
