Hello. This page contains things that just happen to pop into my mind. I hope you find some of these interesting. I don't really mind if you don't, though. I just try to be as entertaining as possible. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
"Thoughts on the Perfect Government"
When the poor are in power, they are liberals, and they steal from the rich. Once they themselves are rich, they become more conservative and try to defend themselves against those more liberal who took their place as poor people. This sinusoidal motion of power must be taken into account when forming the perfect form of government. Democracy favors the poor; for inevitably there will be more poor than rich, and since the majority rules, the poor will rule. The fate of democracy is a welfare state, where everyone is created equal, and everyone gives the same to and receives the same from the government. Monarchy favors the rich and influential, but since it is ruled by only a few or one, and often, if not always, unjustly, the people, which always comprise the majority, will inevitably rise up and either change the government, overthrow the government, or instill their own monarch, who will be no better than the previous. Monarchys fate is either an endless cycle of oppressive monarchs, or revolution. Communism and socialism favor the common man, but oppressive control of the nation by one single party limits independent thinking. The leaders of the nation will take as much as they can; for all people are essentially greedy, whether greedy to get into Heaven, to gain material possessions, or to gain influence. This will lead to a form of dictatorship or aristocracy. Usually organized poorly and distrusting of its own citizens, communism is fated to either eventual economic collapse from competition with rival nations who are more economically prepared for war and disaster, or survival as an oppressive, but working, nation, providing all its loyal citizens with as little as possible to survive. Complete Despotism favors one leader and his supporters, whom he does not trust. This form of government will not last for long, as the people, who comprise the vast majority, when finally organized together by someone intelligent, like Simn Bolivar or George Washington, will rise up and overthrow their leader. They may form any form of government when finally in power, but what it will be is anyones guess.

My Idea of the Perfect Form of Government:
Type of Government: Imperial Democracy
Executive and Judicial powers rest in the hands of the Emperor and his appointees.
Legislative power rests in the hands of two houses: the House of Lords, and the House of Commons.
The Imperial Family will remain in control until both Houses agree that new elections should be held.
Taxes are controlled by the Emperor and are set at a flat rate.
The Empire is divided into Kingdoms, which are divided into Provinces, which are divided into States, which are divided into Counties, which are divided into Townships, which comprise of several towns or a city. These divisions, however, assume the nation is at least half-global, which means it has spread across half of Earth. To give an idea of the scale of these subdivisions, the Empire would be the entire planet; each continent would be its own Kingdom, with the exception of Asia, which would have to be divided into South Asia, stretching from Vietnam to Israel, and North Asia, and Antarctica, which would be part of Oceania (Australia plus the islands of the Pacific); a Province would be about the size of a medium-sized nation, such as Iran, or about half the size of the continental United States; each State would be approximately between the size of California and the size of Ohio; a County would simply be what we know of as counties; and a township would be a small part of a county, perhaps 1/16th.
As for social structure, class divisions must exist. The sometimes oppressive upper-class will have to be kept in check by occasional uprisings and revolts from the lower classes, and the class divisions will be held fast by the powerful upper-class. When money and power is held by few, more things get accomplished, whether good or bad. Either way, the nation will advance.
Slavery is present. Slaves will keep the lower-classes from falling too low, and it will allow them to believe they are better than someone, which seems to be necessary for all humans. But who do slaves feel better than? Generally speaking, poorly educated people (slaves) can feel better than almost anyone for the simplest of reasons. It is the more educated that have trouble feeling superior.
The economy is ruled by complete free-market, with occasional government intervention, as the two Houses see fit.
A Bill of Rights will not exist. I believe a Bill of Rights restricts power too much. If the government chooses to abuse its citizens, it must face the consequences. The consequences may not be immediate, but they will come. This simply forces government officials to think before they act. Perhaps precedents will be set, and future Emperors may be educated to follow these precedents.
What is not controlled at the National level, should be controlled at progressively more local levels, with each subdivision making laws and ruling according to its own situation.
Basically this form of government is like controlled anarchy, or like a confederation of Kingdoms, Provinces, etc. Survival of the fittest is the ruling factor, and the government and aristocracy will usually be the fittest.

If there are any ideas to update my government, please share.

"The Cause of Racism"
Extreme pride in ones race leads to racism. Extreme pride is like the pride one has for a championship team, or when one has other proof that something with which one associates oneself is better than everything or almost everything else. Simple pride, on the other hand, is the pride one has when comparing something with which one associates oneself, with itself, such as the pride one gets from reaching ones own goals, or the pride a parent has for her children, regardless of other childrens accomplishments. While simple pride is a non-violent pride, extreme pride is generally directed outward, because of comparisons with external competitors, and is thus more harsh and violent. One can have simple pride in ones race, perhaps because of the ways that race has helped itself, or bettered itself, but one is more likely to have extreme pride in ones race, because race is a completely external factor. (This should not be confused with culture, which is completely internal.) Ones race is identified by external appearance, though certain cultural characteristics can be associated with race, depending on ones cultural perspective. Since race is entirely external, pride in ones race is directed externally. Others not of that race view this pride as generally rude and insulting, of themselves and of their own race; in a word: racist. Hence, racism is caused by extreme pride in ones race.

"One More Day"
I wonder sometimes, Is it worth it to go on one more day? When everything seems like it doesn't matter, should I matter at all? Maybe nothing is worth it. But in one more day the world can change. I become submerged in song, and I gain peace. A friend fills me with love, and I am comforted. My tongue tastes the sweetness of sugar, and I know pleasure. The anticipation of returned grades gives way to the exultation of a job well done, and I know pride. I am glad I chose one more day.

I may not make a good friend, but I make a dedicated one.

On a Socialist Revolution:
A majority of people would rather endure a system which is less than perfect (not that socialism is any closer to perfection) than change it for something which MIGHT be better. On the whole, this is a risk most people are not willing to take.
Justice, Freedom and Liberty -
I fear that one of the largest problems for the near future will be the lack of assumption of responsibility for one's actions. Already has it begun. People turn to the government to solve their personal problems. People blame others at all costs to avoid their own punishments. And as people compete with others for control of the world, they become more devious in this avoidance of responsibility. It propogates in much the same way as cheating. For example, when one person cheats and succeeds, and others see this, then the others will attempt it too. Some will fail, but some will succeed, and others will see this and attempt it as a consequence. A domino effect will ensue until everyone everywhere is cheating, or until someone rises to power who is strong enough and dedicated enough to stop it. As with cheating, avoiding responsibility is seen to advance one's interests. The more people that avoid responsibility, the more that will find avoiding responsibility appealing, as it is seen as a gateway to success. People see it like the following: Obviously the less negative consequences one faces, the farther ahead of those with which they are competing they will be. As the world becomes more communistic, responsibility will shift more and more to the government, thus giving the government more and more power over the lives of individuals, when, ideally, that power should be in the hands of the individuals themselves. People are free to act for themselves, though they seldom realize it. I fear, as the United States turns more to social democracy (not true communism, but much like it), people will have less and less control over their own lives, because of this strange desire to avoid responsibility. Why, I ask, is the government responsible to protect people from themselves? The government enforces drug laws, environmental standards, economic rules, moral values, and supports any action which gives itself more power, over its own people or over the world. This must be reversed, or at least contained. The consequences of such a shift in responsibility will cause a shift in control, and this shift in control will only harm those values for which our American forefathers fought so hard: Justice, Freedom, and Liberty.
