Shaved Fish For Supper
2/15/2003
Today, Kylie enjoyed her mother's gospel concert at an "International Cultural Exchange" function. She showed how much she enjoyed it by sleeping soundly through the entire concert, and the reception party that followed. Grandpa and Grandma were unexpectedly made guests of honor at the banquet, and Grandpa even gave a short speech! It was quite the surprise!
In the evening, we all enjoyed our
Okonomiyaki, a Japanese dish that resembles a cabbage, trapped in a pancake, and covered in a sticky brown sauce, mayo, dried seaweed, and shaved fish. No really, it is delicious! Ask my mom! I know a lot of you are wondering about the shaved fish. Just use your imagination. Send me your drawing and you may win a prize!
(Offer void where prohibited, one entry per person, all entries must be accompanied by $10 "processing fee" Make checks or money orders payable to "Pyramids and Get Rich Quick Scams Inc.")
Well, I should get to bed, we are going north to make
soba (Japanese buckwheat noodles) and blow glass tomorrow. Hopefully not at the same time. That could take more manual dexterity than I have. Maybe I needed more tummy-time when I was a baby...
