Blackpowder Bomb |
You will need: |
- 1 soda bulb (a.k.a CO bulb) |
- cordless drill & drill bits (small ones) |
- 1 sparkler or cannon fuse |
- 1 tablespoon of black or smokeless powder |
- a small funnel |
Method: |
1. Take the soda bulb and place it in a vice (tight enough to hold it without crushing it) |
2. Drill through the top of the soda bulb at the narrowest end. Use a drill bit which is just wide
enough so a sparkler can fit in its hole. Just a precaution - freezing CO gas will blast out as
soon as the bulb is penetrated. Watch out for it. |
3. Place your funnel in the hole in the bulb and carefully pour in the black powder. A rolled up
piece of paper makes a good funnel. |
4. Push the fuse into the hole so it just touches the powder. If you are using cannon fuse, use a
fairly long length. It burns relatively fast and you'll need time to get away. |
5. Light the fuse and run away... |
Note: |
If you don't want to use this bomb straight away, pull out the fuse and put some tape over the
hole until you need it. |
Info: |
By now you may be wondering what soda bulbs are. They're simply small, usually green or silver
cylinder shaped container of compressed inflammable gas. They are used for putting bubbles in
soft drink through a machine often called a soda stream. The compressed carbon dioxide gas
inside them is extremely cold so if you decide to puncture one, don't get the gas on your hands
'cause it freeze burns. These little pricks are available at most supermarkets but with the
increase of people making bombs with them and hurting themselves, soda bulbs are getting
banned to persons under 16 in lots of places. |
