We planned to picked up places where we didn't have time to visit before today. Up at 7:00AM today, whewwww.... SoaDokmai took a shower first today, what a smart idea but a little too late :).
The crowd is not too bad this morning at the Eiffel tower. We plan to go up to the second level of the viewing deck. They opened at 10AM. We line up about 1 hour. We got into the wrong line, we wanted to walk up but had to take the elevator up. The view is just perfect again. It is nice up here, soft breeze today, initially it was cloudy but the sun kept peeking thru. We took pictures of different views of Paris. We walked down, not too bad. You know there's one thing I would complain about Eiffel Tower's area is there is no rest room close by. There is a restroom and restaurant in the viewing area but one has to get up there. Who would line up again?
Our next destination is Notre Dame. On the train we go. We decided to get Chinese Food to go today for our lunch since we don't have time to sit down and eat there.
Notre Dame is great, great view, great arts, great area, along Seine river. We found a spot in the garden on the side to sat down and eat our lunch, my lunch was okay but SaoDokmai didn't like her sweet and sour fish dish.
We went inside to enjoy the window glass arts. Lots of people here, it's hard to find a spot without people to take pictures. We didn't go up on the top, too tire and we couldn't find where the entrance is :). We walked around the building. Take some more pictures. Walked across the bridge and we saw miles of arts for sale. Lots and lots. I didn't have enough pictures of Notre Dame, so, we keep taking some more. I put my vdo camera down and totally forgot about it, I thought I put it in my backpack but NOPE, I LOST MY VDO CAMERA here. :(
We are heading to St. Chapelle next, we walked, along the walk we discover little streets full of shops and restaurants, very nice, I think there cozy streets, I wouldn't mind around here also. We decided to stop in a coffee shop, this is when I realized I don't have my vdo camera any more.
Okay we still have sometimes, it was around 3:30PM. So, we headed to The Pantheon next.
"Live Free or Die" is the quote of today. Again I have no battery left for today and no camera, SaoDokmai has to delete off some of her pictures, she's running out of room from her memory card. Pantheon is another place I won't mind spending times in there. There are tombs underneat this building but there are nothing like Westminster. The tomb are closed in and we only see the wall of writing, we got out of there quickly, it was scary, just walls and it was dark. By this time every major tourist attractions are closed, it was around 6:00PM.
Today SaoDokmai is treating me to dinner, oh boy. Of course she mentioned it all day long we are having a French dinner, when we walked by a Japanese restaurant, just downstair of our hotel, she gave me a choice of Japanese or French. I got thinking and decided on the French dinner.
We charged the batteries and ready for dinner, and of course I changed my mind the last minute and we had sushi for dinner. The looked on our faces is priceless hahaa.... We couldn't swolow the raw fish hahaha... but I try to eat most of the dinner.
I didn't mention this before but at the Eiffel Tower in the evening, people gather at the spaces or yards or garden or whatever it is, to eat and drink. Some people just sit there and relax and enjoy the view of the Eiffel.
So, we got a bottle of wine, bread, and chip and ready to go there again :). We enjoy the light show on the Eiffel the first two times. The third time it was looking kind of boring ahaha... it turns on every hour.
We left at 11:00PM from Eiffel tower and call it a night in Paris. I love it here.
