| Paris and London in 6 days | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| Day1: The flights were very smooth, but flight from New Wark to Paris was a little small, not much room to stretch, it's a good thing my butt isn't that big to fit in the seat, I got a window seat, it was cold. Arriving at the gate, no sight of Saodokmai, I knew she's somewhere close by. I saw the phones, put my credit card in and dial, dang it, not working. I tried them all and still not working. I ask this Asian lady that was trying to used the phone and she tried it for me and still not working. OK, now what am I going to do? I asked the information desk, they told me to go to other terminal for phones, finally found another one. Tried it and didn't work again. Then I saw a phone that uses coins; I had to buy some thing to get the coins. FINALLY I reached SaoDokmai, she was getting off the train and on her way, yippy I am not lost in Paris any more :) Greeting: :) I wasn't certain on how the French greet each other then I saw some greeting at the airport :) they give each cheek a kiss, let's just say I am going to avoid it when I see SaoDokmai hahhaa.... We finally met with just a hello wave whewwwwwwwwwwwwww... China Wall: Who said there isn't a great wall in Paris? :) We took a train to our hotel, oh boy, I have a little big luggage and climbing the stairs of metro's terminal isn't fun, especially if you have to change trains. Not recommended if you have big luggage. Hotel: Getting off the Metro station and we didn't take too much time finding our hotel. It is a small room with a tiny bathroom and I mean really tiny. But it was a clean place and quiet. |

| Seine River | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| Seine River Cruise: We decided to take the cruise along Seine river in the afternoon after lunch, mini lunch, we ate Pho, it was just down stair from our hotel. So, taking a train and get off close to Eiffel Tower, walking along the river we got distracted by the Eiffel tower and had to stopped many times for pictures. When we got on the boat, there was a BIG tour group, then we over them talking, they were from Thailand haha... some lady asked us if we were Thai and I said "mai chai kha" in Thai hahaa... I forgot. Then we sat down, some guy walking up to us and asked again if we were Thai and this time SaoDokmai said "Mai chai kha" :). He didn't believe us. He was trying to get our addresses, I responded that I worked in a factory in US and didn't know how to read. SaoDokmai keep saying "mai roo kha" and "I am homeless". I took several pictures of him from my vdo camera. That was fun and interesting, he keeps saying he has a Lao girlfriend and she is beautiful. I asked him why isn't she there, he responded "she's scare to ride airplane" :). He got annoyed when he didn't get SaoDokmai's address. The River cruise is worth every Euro. The more funny thing is to see how the tourists react on the boat. There were some Chinese tour groups there as well. We called it a day and went back to our hotel, we discovered a gyro sandwich shop just down the street very close to our hotel, that's what we had for dinner, that was good. |
