Welcome to Operation ARC Landing. This page is dedicated to all of the Army Recruiting Families ... past, present and future ... who did their very best to find the good in recruiting duty.
You may wonder what, exactly, Operation ARC Landing means. Well, "ARC" is the acronym used for the Army Recruiting Course, currently located at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, that all recruiters have taken at one time or another. In discussions among friends, it was discovered that the acronym ... pronounced 'ark'... was very fitting. The transition from mainstream Army to USAREC is almost like Noah and his ark, you have left a secure, familiar area for an unknown. This website is to help you prepare for the landing into that unknown world.

The idea for the site was presented to friends within USAREC in January 2002. We are working together to create this resource for recruiting families. Our goal is to create a positive network of support and sponsorship for recruiting families around the world. One of our hopes is to destroy the "plague" in recruiting.
Among the links here, you will find information for the new spouse and information for the "seasoned" spouse. First, we will concentrate on the new spouses. They are the most in the dark when departing the ARC for Recruiting Land. Followed by information that can be for either the new or seasoned spouse.
All who help here are volunteers. These spouses have been picked using a specific criteria to ensure a positive introduction into the USAREC family.
