| The OCC Finals will feature three formats of play. Players will start out playing Standard (Type 2) for two or three rounds, depending on attendence. After this they will be broken into pods to build decks from a Duplicate Sealed cardpool, where each player in a pod is given the same cards to build a deck from. These decks will contain commons and uncommons from the Mirrodin block. They will play three rounds with these decks, then switch back to Standard for two more rounds. At the end of the final round of Standard, we will cut to top 8, who will sit down for a Rochester draft. They will then play off for final standings and prizes. Additionally, at the end of the Swiss rounds, we will take the match points from the top three members of each team (determined by their origin store) and add them together. The team with the highest total will be awarded rare DCI foils, one per player and one for their store, as well as a plaque for the store. The OCC Finals will be held on August 22nd at C'N'M Games, in Thornhill. They will start at 9 a.m. Information for qualified players C'N'M Games is located at 7398 Yonge Street, unit 31d. You can find complete directions on their Qualifiers page. Their number is (905)763-9600. Here is a Mapquest link. Players are expected to be at C'N'M Games before 9 a.m. so that we can post the seating for the player meeting precisely at 9.
