First off, allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Josh Hjemvick.  I'm an 18 yr old High School graduate pursuing a career as an air traffic controller in the enroute (Center) environment.  I plan on majoring in Business Management and then attending MTCT for Air Traffic Control.  I'm currently working towards my PPL.  

My experience in the online environment started during the summer of 1999 while SATCO was still alive.  My first ARTCC was ZTL.  It was a well founded ARTCC till some higher up staffing changes occurred and then a downfall happened.  When that staff changed occurred, I removed myself from the online ATC environment and focused on my flight training.  After about a year and a half hiatus from SATCO I returned, and choose ZLA as my ARTCC of choice.  One of the best decisions I have made.  

I have been with ZLA for some time, at least 10 months, closing in on a year.  I have worked through the ranks with some of the best of ZLA.  I owe a lot of thanks to DH, HX, BE, CX, and IE.  I am also a ZLA Staff instructor, so please do not feel intimidated to ask any questions concerning ZLA operations.
