TANNER
was Oliver Crocker's first independent feature film project, which
was filmed in the summer of 2006. Richard
Jobling is Vic Tanner, a young man whose dreams and
aspirations in life have never come to fruition. He has recently taken over his
late Father's business, and under the watch of his Dad's tough business partner,
(Tony
Osoba) Vic is
hurled into a dangerous life of crime and violence... A life he wants to change.
He then meets Lauren (Solitaire Mouneimne), a young woman who is in hiding after stealing a large sum of money. The pair find that they are both unhappy in life, but could help each other change their ways. The only problem is local gangster Edward Protheroe (Frank Williams) has sent a highly trained assassin to kill Tanner. Can they both survive the ordeal and come out as better people?
Also starring Bernard Wrigley and directed by Oliver Crocker and BAFTA Nominee Mervyn Cumming, Tanner premiered at the Swansea Film Festival 2007, where it was nominated for Best Film (under 75 mins) and Best In Festival. The film also received the same nominations at the Everglades International Film Festival 2007.
