shawn huber (bass/vocals), tyler gorman (guitar/vocals), nick ferrante(vocals/weightlifting), chris moulton (drums/vocals).
bio:

departure from apathy, tyler nick shawn and chris, is four friends from home making sincere punk/hardcore/screamo/emo/whatever music together. founded and functioning on do-it-yourself ethos, we play to have fun and rock out. the sound is a combination of many sounds and genres in hardcore-punk and emo, at times purely melodic and emotionally atmospheric, however quickly digressing into a fast and sometimes-grindy breed of screamy hardcore.
DFA as it is today (it took a month or two to get the ultimate lineup and everything) was formed at the very end of January, 2003. We had our first practice on the 24th (which was pretty much just me and chris, but still...) and we played our first show on the 28th of march, at a poetry night at our high school. we recorded a demo in april, which doesn't totally suck... kind of. and we played a whole bunch of shows. yeah.

this band means a lot to me. we're all in diferent places now (physically). i'm away at school in amherst mass, nick is in worcester, shawn's in new york, and chris is back home in scarborough still doing the highschool thing. he's also still doing the
everysmithever thing, which is cool.

i can't really think of all that much else to say here, but i wrote
this last fall ('03), and i think it's all that needs to be said. i love my dfa boys. xoxo.

AND, as if you haven't had enough,
here's the old bio, as it was on the old DFA site. written 3/29/03.

news and stuff:

[Feb. 21]

we're almost 100% done recording everything for our mammoth 9-song full-length. at least it seems huge; hours and hours and hours put into this thing, which will hopefully not suck. it's sounding good so far, and i'm pretty excited about it. i'm really excited to get this stuff done with and never think about these songs ever again. there are too many new songs i've written to keep dwelling on this recording. hopefully the full-length will be released by spring '04, but who knows. and with all this new material, maybe another release is shaping up for the summer. but, again, who knows.
