| The Origins Of |
| Many years ago, in the Eastern Kingdoms, long after the Sundering and before the Third War, the Amani trolls gathered in a great army and assaulted Quel'Thalas and Silvermoon. The high elves living there struck an alliance with the humans and pushed back the Amani trolls, practically wiping them out and destroying their temple of power at Zul'Aman. But ironically, it was during the Third War that Prince Arthas Menethil succeeded in destroying the kingdom of the high elves and laying waste to Silvermoon. It would not be long before the alliance between the humans and high elves crumbled. Over the years the remaining and renamed blood elves worked to rebuild their city and even now continue to struggle against the Scourge and the Amani. The Amani have taken the opportunity to strengthen their numbers as well. A young blood elf paladin with no memory of her past or origin was sent forth from Sunstrider Isle to fight on behalf of the blood elves. In the greater world she soon discovered the evil side of the good, and the good side of so-called evil. She learned of the volatile magic her people had learned to harnass from a renegade demon, she learned the dark secrets of the blood elf warriors of light, she befriended a warlock with good intentions, and she soon learned that there are two sides to every story. Realizing that light and shadow, like day and night, must co-exist, and having no memory of her own family, Avalyndrae set forth to find others of like mind to help share this knowledge - answering to the balance between dark and light - limitless and eternal. Still young, she soon learned of the vast lands and diverse people of the Horde. After founding Children of Eternity, she established the guild headquarters in the heart of Amani territory at the abandoned gates of Zul'Aman, surrounded by enemy trolls, night elves, and Scourge. The abandoned troll village once again found usefulness as the home of the Children of Eternity - with a beautiful view of waterfalls, sunsets, and the Sanctum of the Sun in the distance. But this peace was not meant to last. Soon, the gates of Zul'Aman began to rumble ominously and the Children of Eternity knew it would not be long before enemy trolls, bent on vengence, began to spill forth from its gates to once again assault their people and take away their appreciation of the place's beauty. Due to this threat, (and partly because of a realization that the Amani held the rightful claim on Zul'Aman,) the Children of Eternity re-established themselves in Brill, just beyond the Ruins of Lordaeron. From this base, they have been able to easily access most of the world of Azeroth, and continue their search for others of like mind. |
