Dear Friends:
Welcome to the US EPA's Office of Emergency and Remedial Response's (OERR)
Bible Study Group web site. OERR Bible Study Group, or OBSG for
short, was established in 1998 with the prime objectives of: a)
sharing biblical insight, b) enjoying each other's company and foster
better inter-Centers relationship, c) identifying practical ways to help
others, and last but not least to inspire and encourage each other to be a
better individual.
The bible is an amazing book that has the power to transform lives.
I would like to take a moment to share with you what motivates me to
facilitate this Bible Study Group. It went back to a quiet 1975 September
evening in Prince George Community College, Largo Maryland when a fellow
student shared with me this scripture from John 3:16 which said " For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life".
I attended the subsequent bible studies and later accepted Jesus Christ as
my personal savior. Throughout my journey as a Christian, it never ceases
to amaze me how wonderful the Bible is as roadmap in lives.
It is my goal to use OERR Bible Study Group as a platform to explore the
scriptures and learn from each other. I look forward to seeing you as part
of the study group.
