Ed) You recently returned from the NZ team trip to compete in Aussie, how did the trip go? 
Cam) The trip was sick, i saw so many cool things and its definitely helped me to improve and know the level  
I've got to get to 

Ed) What was it like competing against all the pros like Ryan hardy, The Players and Macca that you see in the mags and videos all the time?  
Cam) It was so good, you realise how good they are, but at the same time it makes you realise that their still human and make mistakes 

Ed) Did you learn much?  
Cam) Yeah I learnt heaps, just on how they are real focused and how I should be approaching each wave 

Ed) What were they like? 
Cam) Their all really cool guys, a lot of them are real shy. In terms of surfing they all have a real strong is emphasis on style and its made me work on my surfing heaps. 

Ed) Your good mates with the deviant Kevin McAlister, is he as mental as what people say?  
Cam) Yeah kev gets out of control now and then but now he's got a steady women and he's settled down heaps, he's here right now watching tension and he's telling me hardy for king and roach for dictator whatever that  
means. 

 

Ed) I hear that you are also good friends with Awen Guntebell of the Auckland Warriors and regularly attend all of his games, where you disappointed when he did not win the super 12.  
Cam) Oh for sure Awen was a clear favourite and when he didn't win I burnt my Auckland Warriors undies and made David Campbell breath the fumes 

Ed) Where do you surf most in the Auckland region and what is it like?  
Cam) Usually Maori bay, but just wherever its good. there's a few other kinda secret spots that sometimes get good. no body thinks Auckland's that good but if you look round there's heaps of god waves 

Ed) What are you currently doing with your life at the moment and what are your plans for the future?  
Cam) I'm at uni at the moment doing sport science, but I've been real slack lately just surfing every day and not going to class, but im just so amped to surf after coming back from oz. I might move to oz next year just travel round, which my parents  
will hate cause they want me to finish my degree, but its what i want to do 

ED ) Anything else you would like to add?  
Cam) Yeah I don't think a lot of people know me but Im around, and to all my mates from around NZ, I've pretty
