The Tasting Panel Bios:
Gary and Connie
It all began with a little (free) Grappa in Napa Valley, followed by Vin Santo and biscotti in Italy. Soooo innocent at the time. Ahhh...Vin Santo soon led to Bordeaux, Brunello or Muga...Which lead to late night dinners at the Vat & Tonsure in Portland...Which lead to... well, anyway,  that was over ten years and many bottles of wine ago. Ahhhhhh...Life is good!

Gary and I moved to Bend in the summer of 2005. The children, Adam and Sarah, had started their journeys in professional golf and college, respectively. Seemed like a good time to make a change.

Gary's foray into wine came before mine (he's older, you know).  I will tell you that Gary has discerning taste buds when it comes to wine. Me? Oh, if it's red, and good, I like. I enjoy cooking and depend on Gary to pair an appropriate wine.

We have traveled to Europe numerous times, skating home through customs with our case of imports (Uhh.. nooo... we don't have anything to declare... We enjoy an annual wine tasting trip to beautiful Sonoma or Healdsburg in search of sunshine, good food, and good wine. Our cellar was pretty much depleted prior to our move (who'd wanna lug all those bottles of old Pinot Noir? Tim??).  And now we're looking forward to filling 'er up again with Columbia Valley's finest (our next wine tasting... Walla Walla).

Wine Club? Oh, yes. Wine Club.  When we moved here, we knew we had to seek out those with common interests. Wine Club! People who love to sit back and enjoy fine food, combined with fine wine, topped off with fine companionship. We were received with open arms and thoroughly enjoy the camaraderie.

   Yes, life is good.
