Being a native Oregonian I have always had an appreciation for northwest wine. My early remembrances were of drinking Pinot Noir with friends in the 70's and 80's. At the time I knew little of the wineries in the Willamette Valley that were producing those delightful wines, but I enjoyed them nonetheless.
I am an avid Porsche enthusiast and love most outdoor activities, skiing, boating, golf and fishing, which I enjoy here in Central Oregon with my youngest son Cory. I have two grown children who I often travel to see, Chris in Southern Oregon and Wendy in Arizona. Wendy and her husband Jareer have a beautiful daughter Amira and a handsome son Amani, making me of course a proud grandpa!
In 2002 my interest in wine was renewed at a gathering at Kah-Nee-Ta resort. Here Tim, Carolyn and I along with large group had a wonderful dinner where the three of us chose the wine we all shared that evening. Since then there have been many gatherings and sharing of fantastic wine and food with friends. I enjoy the fun and social life that has come with being with others who enjoy wine.
My collection of wine runs around 600 bottles and spans the globe including French, Italian, Spanish, Australian and more. The larger part of my collection though are wines from the northwest as well as Napa wineries that I enjoy. I look forward to enjoying these wines with friends. |
