6/10 - After a rain out last week, Team nWo failed to put a 'check' in the win column and slip to eleventh place overall. There's not much to talk about as the nWo softball again failed to put runners on the bags and drive them home. Not sure why that is, what sort of inspiration (or smack in the face) they need, but fear not, the fans still love you guys!

Special props go out to Jeff "Swank" Swanke for showing up (finally) and playing with only one eyeball. Apparently Swank got some metal in his eye (though exactly how that happened is still a mystery) and had to play with a patch on it. Went 2-2 so not bad. Bill "Sojo" Gamba has changed Swank's name to "Cyclops".

Speaking of name changes, "Mustang Jim" Ciszewski will now be referred to "Evil Jim" Ciszewski. This stems from him consistently keeping certain peoples out to all hours of the night, then dropping said peoples off who are now drunk and looking to score at 3 am. But mostly, from my inability to say 'no' to the man. Evil, I tell you...pure, unadulterated evil...



5/27 - A disappointing loss as Team nWo struggles to find themselves. Some good fielding in the game, it was just the hitting...




5/13 - Emergency starter Carlos "Los" Almeida did a great job limiting Fords Fire to 2 runs in a 7-2 victory. Almeida, pressed into duty to a "late" Bill Gamba, only walked two and started two double plays. "Los" came in and did another great job", commented manager Jim "Hollywood" Sorochen. "It's a sign of a good team that we have depth at many positions and the ability to pick each other up." Chris Pichalski went 3 for 3 with a homer and Jim Ciszewski went 2 for 3 and saw his average go down to .833.

Scheduled starting pitcher Bill Gamba showed up 2 minutes late according to umpire Frank Lombardo, who ordered the nWo softball team to take the field with 10 players. nWo management disputed the start saying Lombardo's watch was 5 minutes fast. Mysteriously, Lombardo was later found unconcious by his wife as he was putting out his garbage late tuesday night. His shirt was ripped open and "nWo" was spraypainted on his back and two softballs were left at his side.

nWo notes--- Mgr. Jim Sorochen will be missing a critical game next week against Maas Brothers. 2nd baseman Jeff Swanke will be also missing due to the Chili Peppers playing in town. The nWo is expected to have 10 guys but there are rumors a replacement for Sorochen has been found. Someone called Mr. Sewaren...





5/6 - Team nWo dropped their first lost. Note: Stats will be available in a day or two when Hollywood gets the courage to release them.



4/22 - Team nWo came through against the defending champs and picked up the win 15-8.



4/15 - FIRST GAME! A blow out. Team nWo successfully beat the shit out of Avenel Fire Co.#1 in a ten run ruled 16-4 game, Tuesday night at Warren Park. "It's like we picked up just where we left off last season," said team manager Jim "Hollywood" Sorochen. "I was very impressed with everyone, especially with the fielding. I just hope we can keep the intensity up with for our game next week." Hollywood is of course referring to their game with long time nemesis Sewaren Deli. It is worthy to note that Sewaren Deli lost tonight to Teddy's Bar, of all teams. Join your favorite nWo superstars next week to see this much anticipated game!
