Poetry Reading and Book Signing
Last week, I got the chance to meet two really cool authors. On Tuesday, I met Marc Marcel author of Saint Thomas and Unchained, at Club MVP in Miami, Fl. It was a really nice night and I enjoyed myself. Visit Marc's website and if you're in Miami this Thursday, check him out at Club Jade on South Beach.
Crystal and I also met Mary Ann Reid, author of Use me or Lose Me and Sex and the Single Sister. She was a very cool, smart, sexy sistah who entertained us with such topics like where she gets her book ideas and how to find an agent. Crystal and I really enjoyed the book signing and I hope Nubian Sistas can do something with Mary Ann in the near future.
BOTM Nomination and Next Meeting
Since I didn't receive any book nominations, I'm going to go ahead and get the ball rolling by choosing 4 book titles for everyone to vote on. The deadline to vote is Saturday, November 22.
Our next meeting is fast approaching. I know not everyone got a chance to read the book and that's fine. Members, everyone can come to the meeting whether they read the book or not.
