So where do I start.  Well I ran across Leslie Sansone's website that puts up a challenge to slim down and get in shape doing her free 
Walk Off A Meal A Day 10 Day Challenge program.

Sitting at home on the couch,
being inactive, unproductive and going through extreme bouts of self-loathing I decided to just try it. What could it hurt?  The challenge calls for monitoring your progess by scale, measurements or judging how an article of clothing fits.  I, of course, chose the scale which I want so desperately to see move down from my starting weight of 211.6 lbs.  I decided to keep track, however, by way of my measurements and seeing how some old jeans fit at the end of 10 days too.

Battling my weight issues has been a life-long journey.  It feels like it has taken a token on every part of my being - my relationships, professional life, and most of all, my self-confidence. 

As I embark on this journey of life long health and fitness, I know the road won't always be easy and the path free of distractions and barriers to cross.  But I will get there,
one day at a time -and- one goal at a time.
