July 19, 2005--This is my first entry.  Where do I begin...well, I signed on today to do the 10 Week Walk of Life program.  I really want to focus on getting fit and healthy.  Just fed up with being fat and not being the "best" me.  I have resolved to get healthy by eating better, exercising more, drinking more water and pampering myself:)  I've been reminding myself there are no quick fixes if I want to keep it off.  While browsing the about.com discussion board, I came across info on the Portland Marathon.  It is hard to phanthom doing a marathon (26 miles), but the 5 Miler is definitely in my reach.  Next year I want to do that...and that ain't no short walk to the store.  Yesterday wasn't the best, but today I am focused on making it better.
