This is my first entry.  I figured I'd begin logging my progress to the finish and for accountability purposes.  Well, I am happy to announce I weighed in at 199.75 lbs for this week.  I've achieved a goal that seemed like it took forever to hit.  I am excited; I just hope that next week Tuesday the scale won't move back up.  My eating this week has been O.K.  I went over my Uncle's who loves to cook and feed everyone.  The man can cook...good ole' Creole style!!  I still ate more than what I probably should have.  But, I have been keeping my visits to a minimum, so I pat myself on the back for that.  Controlling my eating has always been a  sore spot.  I can't seem to follow the "three balanced meals a day."   This gets to me because although I am taking steps to get the weight off like exercising more and drinking lots of water, I don't like knowing I am slacking big time in other areas.  I don't want to lose the weight half steppin'.  I want to make sure when I reach my goal I can look back and say I did everything I was supposed to do.  I don't want to lose weight by sheer chance each week, but because I follow the rules and am committed to changing my lifestyle.  I'm quite sure we all have a weak spot, or one thing that we just can't seem to get down pack.
Well...on to better news!  My weight loss has definitely become more apparent.  A lot of people notice, especially my Uncle, which is new because he has never made mention of my weight before.  The best part of this week.  I tried on some old pants that I could barely pull above my thighs AND THEY FIT, and are getting even looser. Well, it has taken a while to drop 26.5 lbs!  I know I could have lost more if I just barred down and got even more serious, but I have been making changes one step at a time and it is paying off.  I've found the weight loss formula :)    Consistency + Persistence = RESULTS!!

This week I lost .75 lb.  I only exercised 3 days this week, and my eating wasn't that great.  I landed a new job in my field of study (Psychology), so I will have a new schedule and need to remain focused.  For the coming week, I am working on a menu so that I can eat better, especially since I am very busy now.  I haven't been good at sticking to written plans, but I guess it is now time to start.  I have finally reached Onederland:)  I am not looking to go back to the awful 200s!  I am trying to make a menu that will include fruits or veggies at every meal.  Hope next week will take me further towards my goal!
