Campgrounds
I would like our family to start thinking about what campground we would like to go to next year. We need to make a decision around the beginning of the New Year so that we can reserve the sites that we really want. Last time we waited until March and we had to pick the sites that were available and we were not very happy with them.  I am starting this now because Christmas is really busy, especially for Michelle.

After our last camping trip I asked everyone what they wanted from a campground and where do we want to go.  I was told most of all that a campground closer to or directly on a lake is wanted the most and a campground that wasn't so crowded. Of course we want showers and flush toilets. So I only listed campgrounds that fit our needs.

I have not included the parks that have only one camping unit per site (unless the sites are very inexpensive) and have rules that would not work for our group, such as only one vehicle per campsite, no campfire after 11:00pm, $10 per day daily park pass fees, quiet time at 10pm, no dogs, etc.

I personally like state campgrounds because they are the least expensive, clean bathrooms and they allow as many tents on the campsites as we can fit. Also they will allow four adults and four children per campsite if they are related and no limit for dogs. Jim says that county parks are nice too and they usually have water at each campsite.

At the bottom of the pages will be a Yahoo Maps finder to help you find out where the campgrounds are.
Google maps has a very cool map website and you can get satelitte views too. The guest book is for us to discuss the campgrounds listed or to tell everyone about  campgrounds that you want us to think about going to.

If you can find a campground that would be good for us, please let me know and I will list it on our website. I want this website to be for all of us not just me and what I think.

These parks have campgrounds that we can look at to consider for our camping trips. Some are local, others are campgrounds that fit into what we might like.
