| The soils in the North region are unfertile, because of high acidity levels and constant erosion. The land can be farmed for 2-3 years, and will then be unable to grow crops. Plently of fertilizer is required to grow crops with a high yield. Cattle ranching is also commonly done on the cleared land. |
