| Welcome to the 'RULES' segment of this web site. Seeing as complete chaos would reduce the fun of this RPG significantly that is why these rules have been set up. I do apologize that there seems to be so many rules (Over 20) but some of them just coincide and are simple enough and easy enough to follow, please follow these rules and enjoy. (Not abiding by these rules will entice warning or punishment varying upon the offense and actions of the player) 1. Register a character BEFORE playing them. All characters must be examined and accepted before they can be RP'd. That means is that you have to send in a complete registration form provided and have it be accepted before role-playing. Once you send that and we reply to you giving you the ok you can start role-playing. We are allowed to tell you to make changes for the benefit of rules or the game. 1A. If you wish to play a minor character or a character you will play later as a minor character right now that is alright but if they become a regular and no profile... big problems. 2.Godmoding is STRICTLY banned. If anyone sees another character god moding, report it to a GM and it'll be dealt with. This includes the following Killing or mortally wounding another character without permission Using insanely powerful attacks constantly with no repercussion or uselessly Dodging every attack that is thrown at them Taking blow after blow without feeling any pain what so ever Some characters are meant to be very skilled and powerful and please take this into consideration between players (If possible decide the winner of the fight before it is RPd OOC.) 2A. Going along with rule 2 there is to be no auto hitting. Example *Darr Ell rams his beam saber into Feyline's hand* (This is the WRONG way) *Darr Ell brings his sword down in an attempt to impale Fayline's hand* (This is the RIGHT way it allows the other character to respond.) Please be aware that your chars CAN be hurt. If you play your character so that they always WIN they become no fun to play with. (The following exceptions will be with Tynon as he is not to be defeated in this RPG until much later.) 3. Try to stick to a main story line, no going off and creating a huge plot line that involves the destruction of all existence. Don't have storylines that are going to hurt someone or make him or her feel bad. The exception to this rule is when you have talked it over with the other characters involved. 4. Do not take over other member's characters without their permission. 5. Keep the bad language to a minimum. (An Occasional "hell" or "damn" are ok, but nothing major, unless you plan on blanking it out or something.) No foul language, obscenities or profanity- if need be, do a time warp or something but there are young eyes watching. 6. NO SEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope that was clear enough. If there is going to be making love close a curtain! We don't want to read some adult sick pornography. Kissing, hugging, mild touching if not descriptive is ok but use common sense people... 7. Remember: you as a player may know things that your character doesn't. So keep that in mind when you play. 8. Playing characters is a pretty touchy subject; so if you're using a character, don't kill him/her unless you plan on bringing him/her back to life in some 'logical' way. (Not just I'm here!) If you do not plan on bringing them back or do not have time to play them please check with us and we swill see if we can have someone take over your character. (It's not fair to deprive everyone of a character just because you're sick of playing him/her. This also co insides with rule 15 down below as to how many chars you should play.) 9. No immortal characters. 10. Character relationships are allowed. Weather it be brother/ sisterly, father and son, or love for another character it is allowed on ONE condision... I must receive E-mail from both players saying it is ok. In other words if X wants to be in love with Marienta I must receive an E-mail from each of them saying that that is ok. 11. Please stick to your profile. Only use abilities and powers listed on your profile. If a new power or ability is achieved through an RPG session than please write to me and tell me so other wise it is not allowed. This goes for history personality and the rest of the profile. (Don't say your character is a loner than have them be hanging around chattering away happily in a crowd.) A characters personality may change over time but not in a snap. 12. Please be realistic! Example: Don't have your character fall 3000 feet on their head and still live! (Well... you know what I mean by that) 13. No clones. The exception's for this is for a temporary plot of a character being cloned and maybe a clone of a passed away character (With good reasoning to it) aside from that there are none. 14. There is a 10 character per person limit for each person. (Except GM's who may have to take on additional villains and characters to continue the larger plots.) It is suggested you play only ONE CHARCTER. This does not mean you can slap together character profiles send them in play and forget them. Play only as many characters as you have time and ability for. (Quality Vs Quantity here) 15. Do not aggravate, harass, insult, or annoy someone on purpose. If there is someone that is constantly bothering/annoying you let us know. 15A. To go with rule 15 I wish to point out, Do not harass other players about love and being in love unless it is unrelated to this RPG. Remember. Simply because your chars are together DOES NOT mean you are meant to be NOR does it give you the right to harass them about it either. ??. We want this board to remain as realistic as we can be for creatures. So don't do anything that would bla, bla, bla, I know you people aren't reading this. 16. If you're going away, or not going to be around for a while, please let us know, so we're not worried. 17. If you change your E-mail address, let us know. 18 When you are finished RPing for a day or for more than a few hours; please post a summery of what took place when you have time. These will be saved for later reference for new players and for refreshers (And just good reading). It is not a greatly enforced rule but it would be appreciated greatly. 19. No destroying other members Gundams heads. It's just not fair. 20. When I am talking about evil & when I talk about god and or gods or demons or such things, I of course am talking about characters and in game things. I do not promote Satanism in any way. It is something I DO NOT TAKE AS A JOKE & I don't fool around with anything like that. If I become suspicious or word reaches me about the religious content of your story lines, you will be suspended IMMEDIATLY! (Characters may believe in more than one god or such things but talk about it at a slim to NILL level. Religion is a very VERY disputable thing that can lead to a great argument, which is why this rule is so strictly up held.) 21. Probably the most important rule. This is a game! It's supposed to be fun, so enjoy yourselves, because if you don't you'll make us miserable too. Remember people come here to role-play and have fun, so please leave your bad moods. If you want to talk about something that's just casual or OOC/ OOG, please do it on the OOC board or somewhere else. |
