I thought of you today
and realized how long
it'd been since I'd last done so.
So hard to recall now a time
when barely an hour could
go by without you
on my mind.
I never thought that I would
be able to get over you.
That I have makes me
a little sad.

Tonite I am lying in a strange bed
in a city no longer my home
Outside thunder rolls across the sky
and lightening illuminates the
rain-soaked sidewalks in electric blue.
Tonite, I will let this storm
lull me to sleep.

SEPT 2002
I think I see my life
as a series of poems
Words to capture
the images
Lines to remind me
of the joys
Verbal canvases
to find the beauty
in the pain.
