Feb 12th and 13th - Special - Blackwork Nametag
Joan Jennings has designed a name tag to introduce us to blackwork. She will then help us prepare the prework for the EGA project "Learning to Love Blackwork". She suggests you bring a hoop but it can be work in hand. All materials for the name tag will be supplied at the meeting.

Hearts for Ronald McDonald House
The Ronald McDonald Hosue, Florida Hospital has asked us for some help in decorating their remodeled kitchen. There is a very plan wall that needs some decoratiosn and CFC/EGA can make it look gorgeous. The Board has decided this would make a wonderful outreach to our community and let us show just what beautiful works of art we can create.
We would like members to use needle and thread and their imagination to create whateer you wish. We only ask that you use the heart shape as your template. Feel free to make it larger or smaller, use any material and any stitchingmethod. When you are done write up a simple sheet on materials used, threads, and instructions to be put in a book we hope to publish. The heart shape to use was included in the newsletter.
We ask that you deliver them to our May meeting so we can have it finished, delivered to the Ronald McDonald House and make that wall something special.
Why the Ronald McDonald House? The house was built over 10 years ago as a home away from home for families of ill children. When it was built, EGA donated many pieces of beautiful works stitched by our members. Those works of art are still on display in the hallways for everyone to enjoy. If you have any questions feel free to send me an email or give me a call. Mary Linda Gracel, [email protected].
