Nobro Bottleneck Blues @ Art In The Park 2004
Once again (for the third year in a row) I've been invited back to perform at this local arts event. The event previously known as Art In The Park will now be known as the Monroe Summer Festival. They've got a new location for this event as they've outgrown their previous spot at Traveler's Park.
Their new location will be on the shores of Lake Tye Park on Fryelands Blvd. The event takes place on Saturday and Sunday July 30th and 31st. I'll be performing there in the mid afternoon of...
Sunday, July 31st
14964 Fryelands Blvd
Monroe, WA
They've also got a new format. The Sky Valley Artists Guild has teamed up with the Monroe Chamber of Commerce and The City Of Monroe to develop what they hope will be an annual event called Monroe Summer Festival. The event will be greatly enlarged over the previous years Art In The Park events. A number of food booths, a 3 on 3 Hoop Fest(Saturday), possibly a classic car show. And an expanded music and entertainment program. Larger covered stage with lots of room in front for listeners, fully equipped and manned sound system. Plus expanded hours for entertainment: Noon to 9:00PM on Saturday and Noon to 7:00PM on Sunday.

August 6th I'll be performing once again for a private annual gathering at what has to be the most unusual dwelling I've ever had the pleasure of exploring. Filled basement to attic and spilling out into every surrounding nook and cranny on the grounds with the most extensive collections of bizarre eclectica that one man has ever been managed to amass. It's a sensory overload experience like no other place on earth and an absolute joy to behold.
I love this place!!!

Tuesday, October 11th 7 PM @ The Highway 99 Blues Club 1414 Alaskan Way Seattle, WA 98101
This show is part of a Seattle Blues Society function. Their meetings usually feature a couple of acts, one acoustic styled performance opens, and then an electric group closes.
I'll be performing for about an hour playing my homemade resophonic bottleneck slide guitar (my Nobro) as well as various other six strings finds that I've unearthed via my endless garage sale prowls. I usually mix in some rack mounted harmonica huffs along with my guitar work and add a musical saw melody, or two, to my sets. An electric act will follow.
Come on down and check it out. Get your blues fix early in the week at this the newest of Seattle's venues that supports and promotes this remarkable musical art form we call the blues.
