Here's a link to one of my favorite places on this ol' highway, The Mudcat Cafe. It's a wonderful community of folks on the web that I've been visiting for many years. They host an enormous database of thousands of old songs called the Digital Tradition. It's an invaluable research tool for anyone who enjoys singing old lyrics. Theres a text chat room with archived threads that'll answer just about any musical question you could imagine. Membership is free to take advantage of this wealthy resource.

The benefit that this musical variant has derived from my association with these fine folks has been overwhelming.

Do drop by, and visit the good folks at The Mudcat Cafe. This link will take you there. www.mudcat.org

A major influence on my playing and performance style, Robert "One-Man" Johnson continues to write and perform some of the finest material that can be heard anywhere on the planet. You can check out his site and get an earful at: www.housedogmusic.com

While not an official member of the Pike Market Performer's Guild yet, I've been busking at the Pike Place Market since my arrival in the Pacific Northwest in 1978.

At their website you'll find information about the Pike Place Market Buskers' Festival as well as information and links to many similar events across the country and the planet. You can also learn about the history of busking, and, via member's biographies, about those who continue to carry on this centuries old tradition in your communities today. The Daily Flash are a collection of musical pioneers that have continued to subvert the dominant paradigmn since 1965. Steve Lalor and I have shared many shows together in various combos.

Three Rivers Folklife Society (3RFS) was organized in 1988. It is a non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to promoting folk music in the Tri-Cities (Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco) in the southeastern corner of Washington (state). They call themselves "three rivers" because their community is located at the confluence of the Yakima, Snake, and Columbia rivers. They are affiliated with the Country Dance and Song Society and the Folk Alliance.
