My Year Abroad . .
My time in Korea began with a five month stay at a Won Buddhist Temple in Seoul.
I had a pretty good experience learning Korean and teaching myself how to ice skate at Lotte World.
After winter break, I had the fortune of meeting some very cool people in an inline skating group called Aba.
I spent much of my time afterwards meeting with new friends in the group and skating or hanging out.
I got to really connect with some normal Korean college kids and younger adults.
After a lot of great experiences in Seoul, I moved down south to a small Won Buddhist College.
There, I began teaching conversational English to over five hundred high school sophomores and juniors.
I also taught three sections of beginner to advanced English to the students of the college.
I probably spent close to twenty-five hours a week in front of a class actively teaching.
While terribly exhausting, the experience was one of the best in my life.
Finally scanned and edited these pictures. Just a whole bunch of pictures with the kids I taught. Wish I could remember their names or even their class designations. Four years ago though . . sigh . . anyway, was great fun . .
