His
utter ruthlessness in battle first brought the attention, and scorn, of
the British to a teenage William Covington. Such ruthlessness attracted
the leader of the Therion clan of Kindred, Alexander Therion.
William's embrace was a quick one and he soon became the celebrated son of Alexander. Smart, handsome, and charming, his skills as a warrior spread far and wide, bringing acclaim to his clan and sire. But the inhuman cruelty that boiled in his blood outweighed his prowess in battle. As his crimes - though they were games to him - became more unimaginable in their hideousness, the Council grew more and more agitated with William. Even his sire was unable to stop his banishment from not only New York, but from the US and all other cities where Kindred resided. The Therion Clan was enraged. Alexander was able to, thankfully, stop the label of "criminal" from being applied to his childe, as that would have put every Kindred looking for power on Williams trail. William Therion changed his name back to William Covington,
and spent the next 150 years of his life clanless, wandering the world. But,
William was a survivor. Though he does not disregard the laws, he
does tend to bend them when he sees fit. As such, he is reentering
New York, years after his banishment. For what purpose, no one knows.
