Baines, referred to as just Baines within the Clan, had no use for the
Kindred power plays and political atmosphere that surround New York and
their Clans. More in touch with his beast than the man, he chose
to seclude himself for a number of years, engaging in battles across the
globe, for hundreds of years. Like most of his clan, he takes pleasure
in the battle, and the lack of it in New York had made him bored.Baines
is a warrior, preferring to be rated at foot soldier status rather than
command. His enemies underestimate him this way. Before he
was embraced, his purpose lay in battle, in war, and that has not changed
for him.
Temptation, though, has been known to bring him from the
recesses of the world. His Clan and Sire's anticipation of battle
has ever been able to sway him back into the suffocating confines of the
city.
