Chase Delano

The eldest daughter of Guillome and Madeline De La Nuit, Chase saw New York City for the first time as a toddler, from the deck of the ship which had carried her family to America. The year was 1905, making Chase now nearly a century old, neither fledgling nor ancient. Bright, stubborn, and intensely close to her siblings, Chase grew up playing in the hallways of the immigrant family's tenement and roaming the streets of turn of the century New York.

Years later, her father and brothers were late to return from their laboring in the city. They came home in the night, no longer human; her father having caught the attention of a dark and nameless ancient - in fact Albert of the lost De La Nuit Clan, an ancestor of Guillome and his family. Resolved to keep his family together, Guillome that night embraced his wife and children.

A restless fledgling, Chase took to travel. A heightened wanderlust and independent streak took her through Europe and the Americas - a seven decade series of affairs and explorations, revelling in the world's newly sprawling cities, garnering and sending 'home' riches to form part of what would later become the Delano fortune. Finally, satiated, Chase headed for home - and found home was a vast, contemporary mansion in Los Angeles. Though not for long.

One hundred years later, moving with her Clan, Chase found herself returning to New York - a city changed almost beyond recognition by the passage of time - with a shared task of re-establishing the Delanos in a new and crowded territory.

Taking the family's resources and estates into hand, Chase is an utter aesthete with a taste for technology, cool and sharp, and fiercely loyal to her Clan.
