OH,THE PLACES YOU'LL GO!!

Thanks for the inspiration, Dr. Seuss!!!!  R.I.P.
I'm an adventurous soul, so when opportunity presents itself, I'll follow.  To places unknown...
One of the first ventures I made was to Zhouzhuang with a Chinese tourist group.  I couldn't understand a word, but that really didn't matter.
Innercity exploring has given me a better taste of Shanghai than most visitors get.  Once day after classes, I just started riding busses.  To see what I could see.  And since I live here, I can get some better "views".
My next trip was to Beijing.  I went there while President George W. Bush was here for the APEC meetings (10/16-20/01).  Fewer tourists!!  hehehe
Chinese New Year afforded me the opportunity to travel in a wider circle.  I went by train to Xi'an, and Chengdu, and by bus to Songpan.  It was quite interesting.

I visited Vietnam during the summer break before I returned to the States.
I had the opportunity to fly back for my brother's college graduation in May of 2002.  I had a 12 hour layover in San Francisco, so I decided to get out of the airport and see the city.
