Golden Jubilee meet of NIE 1959 alumni at Bangalore was held in a grand manner on 21/6/2009 at Bangalore.   A large number of alumni including many from Mysore attended.  The function was a great success.  Professor S.Ramamrutham, Professor N.Krishnamurthy, Dr.Shiva Kumar,  Principal, NIE and many members of the present managing committee of NIE attended the function.   Video shot during the programme is available with Mr.S.Nagaraja and Mr.N.G.Harikrishna.  

Meetings are held on the first Sunday of each month at 
4:30 pm at the IE(India), Jhansi Lakshmi Bai Road, Mysore 5.

News 
NIE has started a new engineering college called NIE Institute of Technology (NIE. I.T.) in Mysore.   Professor Raghavendra Rao is the Principal.  Recently a new building was inaugurated by Professor C.N.R.Rao.   Visit www.nie.ac.in.

Professor N.Krishnamurthy  will be visiting Baltimore, U.S.A. from 6-9 December.2009, to present a paper at the annual meeting of the Society of Risk Analysis (USA).   For details, please visit his webpage, www.profkrishna.com

M.V. Ravindra  is President of LeMessurier  Consultants   in Cambridge,  Massachusets, U.S.A.     Visit www.lemessurier.com  to know about his company.    His company has designed many award-winning structures.  He is expected to visit Mysore/Bangalore in November 2009.

V. S. Srinivasa Raghavan returned to the USA after a brief visit to Mysore. N.S.Chakravarthy is expected to be in the U.S.A. till January 2010.  A.D.Krishna Prasad is expected to return to Mysore shortly.
