What College Looks Like This Week...
Homecoming 2003 meant a large fire, a spirited skit, and a time-consuming and questionably-constructed float!
Every year, each House must create a float for the homecoming bonfire.
This year, Ladd had a Christmas theme, MacMillan had a fireman theme, and Howell had a Colby theme.
And no, that�s not us dousing the hay in lighter fluid...
Helmreich had a beer theme! They spray-painted a trash can to look like a
Solo cup, then tossed a volleyball around to simulate pong! Their float
also involved partial nudity...
Each House is also required to have a skit or song prepared for the bonfire.
Our skit involved President Jess dressed as the Colby White Mule in a cage...
Tommy, dressed as the Bowdoin Polar Bear, then mauled the Mule,
and Jamaal (dressed as a Bowdoin supporter) tackled Mike (dressed as a Colby supporter).
Mike sustained a sprained ankle from the whole thing, but we think
the tackle won us second place!
All of that hay and lighter fluid burned reeeeally well...
not that we intended that... or anything...
