Die troupand familie se nes is gewoonlik 'n ou  verlate nes of hol boomstam.

AFRICAN FISH-EAGLE

These magnificent birds of prey are often seen soaring above their territory, close to the Crocodile River, the loud, distinctive call ringing throughout Marloth Park, leaving us with that knowing feeling ...... we are back, we are home....

Fish-eagle's feed mainly of fish taken, during a dive, close to the river surface.  They  also feed on carrion, small vertebrates, water birds and fish stolen from other fish-eating birds.  Females are larger than males.

BATELEUR

Low, fast flying bird of prey.  The Bateleur is often seen, soaring,  in the vicinity of the river at Seekoei Rd.  Their stick-nests are usually build in open forks of large trees.  Also feeds on carrion and small animals.
