Justice
Justice is one of
the main subjects of the novel.
Blind and quick when the matter
is to condemn a poor innocent sent to jail on a false accusation,
it is slow when the rich, corrupted and powerful is accused.
Alas for the power, the Empire is vast and the condemned many. That's
why the main crimes are often sentenced to exile and culprits taken
off to be left to the will of other judges who sometimes appreciate
their qualities.
