Wu Song, is one of the most likeable heroes
of the novel. Younger brother of Wu the Elder, he
is as tall as his brother is small, as strong as
the latter is weak.He will meet Song Jiang in Chai Jin's manor but he will soon leave to see
his brother. On his way, he will kill with his
bare hands a tiger that terrifies the whole prefecture
in Jingyang Ridge and will become the constable
of the county where he finds his brother. During
a mission that makes him leave the town for several
weeks, his brother will be poisoned by |
his wife and the latter's lover. Getting
no justice from the authorities, Wu Song will kill
the culprits and will be sentenced to bannishment.
He will then meet Shi En and become his sworn brother and get
into trouble to help his new friend. He is nicknamed
the Pilgrim because he is used to wander
alone disguised as a monk. He represents the Injury among the 36 Heavenly Stars.
His only default : he drinks too much and gets mad
when drunk. Song Jiang who likes him very much will
warn him several times about that. |
