We offer a series of three seminars for Japanese elementary school teachers who have to teach English. Each course runs for 12 weeks, 90 minutes a session, for a total of 18 hours.
Course I
In Course 1, taking part in various learning activities in the role of learners, the participants are introduced to various approaches, methodologies and techniques.
Course II
While in Course 1 the participants act mostly as learners, in Course 2, the focus changes to the teacher's role, including activity design and preparation of materials for carrying out successful learning activities.
Course III
In Course 3, the participants do practice teaching and receive feedback from the seminar facilitator and other participants.
Throughout the three seminars, the participants are given help in learning English necessary for conducting activities and in improving their English in general.
They are also introduced to various resources, including commercially available materials.
