Never Trust a Baby with a Mustache was saddened to learn of the passing of a legend of the 90fm trivia contest, Tom Daniels, on Saturday night. His professional demeanor and enthusiasm for the contest were an inspiration to generations, and he will be missed.

Never Trust a Baby with a Mustache is in the final stretch for preparations! Pictures come out tomorrow, and the forum will be located online, ask for the code and location. We've all returned to our homes and safely, exhausted but extremely delighted with our performance in this year's contest. The real sleeper was, when the final scores were released this morning at 1:30am, it was revealed that previously unknown Never Trust a Baby with a Mustache had shocked the trivia world to come in 33rd place in the 2007 contest. We had never fallen below 43rd and even placing as high as 11th place for one hour. 11th place! We couldn't believe it as it happened, and we still can't.
Many things came together to contribute to our launch right into the midst of some of the true trivia team elites. Certainly, our new location was perfect, with plenty of space to work and relax. The food was amazing, and the recipe for the beer burgers will be up soon. Also, our 'at-home' guest help in at least three states worked out pretty well (except for the much-maligned thirty-second network latency). Whatever the reasons, any way you slice it, we as a team have improved so much in the past two years; quite an amazing accomplishment for our ragtag collection of trivia enthusiasts! For now, though, we are basking in the glow.
Quotes will be up as soon as Marissa publishes them. In the meantime, congratulations also to all our friends on other teams, and get some sleep!

The Trivia Newsletter is out today, the most important thing is that the trivia movie is Live Free or Die. Planning is already in the works for trivia shifts, food, and carpooling! Never Trust a Baby with a Mustache is ready for Trivia 38!

Final scores have also been posted. We got 3260 points, 30 fewer than last year, but good enough for 91st place! W00t!

This morning, we received our self-declared 2006 "Norris Prize" (officially the "Chuck Norris Roundhouse Kick to the Trivia Award for 91st Place) for trivia performance above and beyond all expectations. We also got a radio Trivia Focus that will be going up on the website soon, and a television Trivia Focus that may be.

This is straight from the horse's mouth, Sloth visited Trivia Central and had this report:
As we can see...the room is made of shoddily constructed lines. This is not to scale. There is 1 couch, at least one love seat. There is a large dining room table. There is a stove, a sink, and a fridge. This is on the 3rd floor, and I doubt that they would let us grill in the stairwell. I was thinking of grilling up meats at our house the day of, like Friday, because I have it off. I would bring over the eats and set up a crockpot, so we have that going for us. There is a large TV, not sure on the VCR area, but we can always bring the one we got as needed. Should I bring a DVD player with DVD's? Might be a pain, but might save us, who knows.

According to 90fm Trivia Forums, WWSP has quintuppled the number of streaming "seats" from 200 to 1000. What this might mean is that out-of-state Mustached Babies might have an easier time camping on a seat and listening to the contest! There is a link to the WWSP "Listen Live" located on the "Links" page.
