Test Results
Notes:

All tests were run with cold equipment and water to make a good comparison between fuels and also pot size.
Trioxane tablets were broken into thirds as designed and 1/3 burned at a time.

Test 1: Trioxane fuel and 1 pint of water in the small pot.
(times in minutes and seconds)

- 2:30 Water warm, bubbles in bottom of pot
- 4:30  water steaming
- 6:00 first 1/3 fuel tab almost out
- 6:30  dropped in second 1/3 tab
- 7:00 water hot
- 9:30  heat from burner seems to be using fuel faster
- 11:00 dropped in last 1/3 tab
- 12:00 pan noisy, water boiling
- 15:00 rolling boil, fire quite hot but seems to need more air (later, more holes were added and can trimmed)
- 17:30 removed pan from fire because of black smoke, it turns out the tabs smoke during the last few seconds of burn, they  could be smothered at this point to damp smoke.
- 18:00 fire out

Test 2: Trioxane fuel and 1 pint of water in small pot.
4 more holes were added to outer can and notches added in an effort to get more air to fire. Finally the can was shortened to fix  this.

- 2:00 water warm
- 5:20 second 1/3 tab added
- 7:00 water hot, steaming, bubbles on bottom of pan
- 9:30 water boiling (as noted, need more air to fire)
- 10:00 added last 1/3 tab
- 14:10 started smoking, removed pan. Note, watch the fire and remove when smoking starts or add more fuel
- 15:15 fire out

Test 3: Trioxane fuel and 1 quart of water in the large pan.

- 5:00 second 1/3 tab added, water warm, bubbles on bottom of pan
- 8:00 water hot
- 9:30 last 1/3 tab added
- 15:00 started to boil, added another 1/3 tab (started second tab)
- 16:30 added 1 cup of macaroni (I'm getting hungry and might as well use this for something)
- 18:30 next 1/3 tab added
- 22:30 next 1/3 tab added, boiling rapidly, (6 total for total of 2 trioxane tabs)
- 26:30 fire smoking, removed pot, macaroni done, time for lunch
- 27:00 fire out (probably should add food at start to use all available burn time.

Test 4: Wood fuel and 1 pint of water in small pot.

- 2:30 water warm
- 4:50 water hot
- 5:40  pan noisy (the fire needs more air)
- 10:00  water boiling hard, stop adding fuel here
