World of Combat
You hear the crowd cheering as the battle in the arena is drawing to an end. Your stomach churns slightly as your time grows near. The crowd erupts in a roar signalling that a killing blow has been landed. The cheers and death chant slowly die down.
You hear footsteps approaching down the long stone hallway which leads to the waiting area. The door opens and a cloaked figure stands watching you. Obviously unexcited by an experience hes gone through hundreds of times, he simply utters two words. "Its time". He turns and heads back to the arena, moving casually down the dimly lit corridor.
As you follow, the faint scent of blood hits you. It leaves a coppery taste in your mouth. The cloaked figure pushes open a large steel door. The sunlight flashes in your sensitive eyes. You step outside and glance around, the crowd erupts again, their desire for entertainment and thirst for battle unquenchable.
You see a huge arena surrounded by a 10 ft stone wall. The stands are packed with spectators. The dirt on the ground is hard and slightly red from the traces of blood in it. Across the arena your opponent waits weapon in hand.
The cloaked figure climbs into an elevated chair then looks from your opponent to you. He gives a slight nod and leans back in his seat ready to watch. The crowd grows silent as he utters three more words "You may begin" then erupts once again in cheers applause and chants.
Your opponent rushes ahead calling out his battle cry "Suffering To The Conquered!!"......Welcome to Vega.
