Stone Pillar of Doom

Operator: The man who watches over the Stone Pillar is old and grey, looking human, although his ears seem to give away a hint of elf in him.  He wears long white robes and likes to see fighting, although for some reason death isn't something he's particularly fond of.

Arena_Descript: The Arena itself isn't really an arena.  It's more of a huge stone outcropping, which extends nearly 300 feet into the air.  The top of it is rounded and flat, with a tiled ground.  There are no handrails or gates on the outside edges, and a 300-foot drop would be fairly painful. The air is comfortable, although it can get up around 85 degrees in the daytime.  The surrounding area is a lush temperate forest as far as the eye can see, and the sky up above is an odd reddish-pink color, with no moon or visible sun. However, it's not hard to distinguish day from night on the planet.

During the night the whole area gets darker, although it never quite reaches what you'd expect on any other planet, and the air cools down considerably. Creatures come out as well, and large footsteps can be heard below in the forest, although whatever causes it never reveals itself.  Humidity is usually high as well. When the light returns you'll know it's day.  The odd sounds from below stop completely, except for the occasional bird's squawking.

The keeper of the Stone Pillar sits on a large stone throne, raised about 15 feet above the actual fighting area.  It rests on the North side, where he watches the battles with great amusement.

Televised: No

Special_Rules: 1. A drop from the top of this pillar could be deadly and as a combatant falls they're likely to be hit by other pieces of derbies as they go.  If someone were to be pushed off, it'd take an action to do, rolling luck/level/dexterity.  A natural 1 would make them fall themselves.  On a roll of 2-14 they would fail the attempt, 15 or higher is successful.  D100 would then be rolled to find out what amount of damage they took from the fall. Luckily, the keeper doesn't like to see death, and will transport you back to the top using a magic long forgotten.  This doesn't mean you couldn't be hurt severely on the way down though.
