What To Bring
- A Pot Luck Dish. At the bottom of this page is a list telling what others are bringing, so sign up early! We need main courses, sandwiches, vegetarian dishes, salads, fruit, snacks and deserts. We will be having fried chicken for dinner so please don't bring that as your dish! You should plan to bring enough to serve 20-25 people. Beverages will be provided. Contact Cathy to let her know what you are bringing.
- A gift for the Yankee Gift Swap. This is one of our most cherished RatFest traditions. The gift should be rat themed, either something wonderful for RATS or something rat themed for the PERSON. (Remember--wrap your gift, but don't put your name on it!) Be creative -- homemade gifts are encouraged! Please keep the cost of your gift under $10. And remember -- the more you STEAL from others, the more FUN the swap is!
- Pictures of your rats for the Photo Contest. There will be prizes in 5 categories, as follows:
* Best Whiskers
* Best Caption
* Weirdest Sleeping Position
* Blurriest Pic Still Recognizable as a
Rat!
* Best Overall
Bring as many photos as you want -- within reason!
- Money. There will be lots of stuff to buy, great raffles to enter, and the Sunday Brunch. The proceeds from the raffles go partly to Mainely Rat Rescue and partly to help defray the cost of the Sunday Brunch.
- We encourage you to bring your rattie items for sale at the RatFest Mall!! We LOVE having stuff to buy! Hammocks, toys, jewelry, treats, cards -- whatever you make, we will buy!
Please make up a price list with your name on it (so people can find you to give you money!) before coming. Preferably use cardboard so it will stand up on its own, since tape does terrible things to the siding. Cathy can provide a table or two, but if you can, PLEASE bring your own table. Thanks!
- Your unwanted rat supplies and other unwanted rat related items! You can either sell them at the RatFest Yard Sale Table or just give them away -- your unwanted 'junk' might be someone else's treasure! Make sure you put your name and price stickers on your items before you come. Thanks!
