Some time ago, my friend asked if I knew how to create animated gifs and I told him yes. He asked me to show him an example of my work and I told him that all my previous works were destroyed by a bad harddisk crash. Nevertheless he bugged me enough to place this newly animated gif created with an old program. (a 1996 program)

Unlike some other gifs programs, this simple program used frames. However many problems reside in this program making it impossible to compress the colors between two frames. (Some programs does support this feature.) Without this feature, the file size is slightly bigger and the color difference can be seen instantly by careful observers.

It took me quite some time to actually capture the pictures from the movie, trying my best to actually make all the colors look alike and getting all the pictures of the same size. If you have watched the opening of "Steel Angel Kurumi", you'll understand that cute little pictures does not change face but reduce their size first. Thus it's more difficult to do it.

The picture of Rishu (Mamotte Syugogetten) with the transparency was created by me. You can see Rishu hanging around everywhere. It was taken off a picture found from the Internet. We respect the fact that it was from the Internet but we're proud of the fact that we are able to work on transparency. It was not easy and time consuming if you have ever tried to do one before.
