Hi, my name is Din.
Welcome to my homepage.
I am native Australian.
My grandfather and my grandmother came from Far North Queensland originally.
My mum's name was Laura.
Her mother came from Laura, Far North Queensland Australia.
Her father's name was "Wunjun".
My mother was a tall beautiful lady with long beautiful hair.
Mum's brother look a lot like the fellow who played Geronimo.
At the age of 12, I asked my grandfather to buy me books on Tibetan Buddhism.
You should have seen the look on his face.
That is when he told me about his near death experience.
He told me that there is no death.
He promised me that after he died, he would come back and visit me.
And he did.
I met my husband whilst in Hawaii in 1979.
We have three lovely children.
Anyhow later on, when I have more time ,I will write a more detailed history about the different clans and languages in Australia and what countries they are connected to.
In the meantime go to "Australian History."
I thought that I would write a little about the history about Australia, because in the middle of this year I recieved a real nasty letter from a person in the Anthro Department.
He said that he was Scots.
He said, "I bet you don't even know the names of your Asian ancestors that migrated to Australia, where as I can trace my ancestoral roots all the way back 200 years back to one of the Teut kings in Scotland."
I asked him if he was related to King Kenneth.
He went ballistic and called me a cry baby.
He wrote back and said;"I'm sorry that the Euro's slaughtered all your ancestors."
And I too feel sorry for the people who killed them.
And as far as not knowing my ancestors-that's a joke.
I do know my ancestors.
I would also like to say that Valentines Day is not a part of our culture.
We do not celebrate it.
I would also like to say that I am not happy about the racist rubbish that Mike Fritzgerald wrote about me in the Stockton Record.
10th March- I find the the present joke floating around on Ebay at the moment racist and derogatative.
It goes; "Clean your clothes-get rid of the mustard.
And I do not find Ebay's little joke exceptionally funny at all.
