| The Dresden Dolls' unique sound has often been called cabaret, punk, punk cabaret, and last but not least rock. Their inevitably magnificent music has drawn from such inspirations as the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Brecht, Kurt Weill, Weimer-era cabaret, the Violent Femmes and Webber and Rice musical theater. If anything, the Dresden Dolls can be called original. |
